Anthropomorphism

We came to your perception
(Jolly saucy crew)
As crows in zoot suits
Hippos dressed like Elvis
Anxious giraffes, neurotic ostriches
Hairless men in gross ballet
And felines in pullovers
So short and tight
They couldn't hide their beer gut
But for chrissakes
Edward, dear boy,
Did we ever ask you
To walk point for this platoon?
Or be the fucking scout
For the final frontier?
