Mick Farren - Tokyo 2005

Reports from Mick Farren and Yukiko Akagawa on Mick's live appearance and visit to Tokyo in September 2005.

Mick's own account of his visit to Japan in September 2005 - "Meanwhile Back In Shinjuku (with the right translation nothing is ever lost)" -can be found on his weblog Doc40.

Also, check out Mick Farren - Tokyo 2005 for Yukiko Akagawa's report of Mick's recent trip to Tokyo where he performed a spoken and musical set at the Tokyo Hipster's Club (THC) on 16 September. Mick was backed by Captain Trip Records' head honcho Ken Matsutani and his band Marble Sheep, as well as Nabeji out of Slunky Side. There are also two photo galleries of the trip, some of the photos were also kindly provided by Yukiko Akagawa. Mick's latest CD - To The Masterlock - Live in Japan 2004 is out now on Captain Trip Records.

Mick Farren - Japanese Tour 2004

Funtopia is privileged to have been sent a report of Mick Farren's recent tour of Japan by Yukiko Akagawa. She has also sent a number of photographs taken by herself, Mimaki Konda of Captain Trip Records, Watabe and Rie - the bassist of Marble Sheep. Yukiko's report with links to the two photo galleries have been posted and take in the four dates at Hard Rain in Osaka, Day Trip in Nagoya and two dates in Tokyo - the frist at the UFO Club and the finale at the Blue Velvet evening at the Blue Chamber.
